Interpretation and findings;
BMW's change to the phenolic plastic manifolds has enabled excellent control of the manufacturing process. As outlined above, these manifolds are well balanced. The small variations from cylinder to cylinder are offset by the fact that the flow rates greatly exceed those required by the engine.
